It is very important to recycle not only at our school, but also in our homes. If we start doing it as part of our daily routine, we will have a better world. We tend to take all natural resources for granted, and we waste them daily. Instead we must take care of them, and make sure we and future generations can enjoy a safe and clean world. If you are not sure about what items can be recycled, visit www.epa.gov and type recycle in the search box. It will tell you in detail all you need to know about recycling.

Depending on where you live the recycling process might vary. For more information go to www.houstontx.gov/solidwaste/recycling.html and find out more about your area and how you can be a better member of society by collaborating with our environment.

We must set a precedent and educate others how to live properly and take advantage of our natural resources without abusing the planet.

If you are interested in learning more about our world, San Jacinto South offers an Environmental Science class (ENVR 1401) taught by Dr. Duston. The class presents global environmental issues and their solutions. The course emphasizes ethical issues and sustainability which includes waste reduction through reuse and recycling. This class can be taken towards your associates science degree or your associates of arts.
