Student life sponsored San Jac Has Talent in order to promote the student government meetings that will be held at the same time in location starting next week.
Multiple students signed up to show their talents off to a packed crowd at the café in the Student Center. They also had hopes they would nab the top Prize, two tickets to the upcoming Black Eye Peas concert at the Rodeo and a $150 gift card to Cavanderes Country.
Aside from various technical difficulties, the show went very well. The crowd was treated by varied performances from fellow students.
The acts that seemed to get the most crowd participation were veryenergetic performances of Guns and Roses' Sweet Child Of Mine sung by Anthony Cook.
Natalie Martin's rendition of John Legend got the crowd to bring out their lighters and lighter apps, and a very interesting performance of Popular from the Broadway show Wicked as interpreted by Batman villain Harley Quinn, performed by San Jac Times own Sacha Ryder.
In the end, the Cosmetology Department went wild as their representative, Paul Tristan, took home top prize for the night. The second and third prizewinners, Brittany Barbaria and Justin Corley took home a hundred dollar gas card and a San Jac hoodie respectively, with two consolation prizes given to a Caleb Lawhorn and Natalie Martin.
